Tuesday's Tip to bENCOURAGEd...
Everyone needs refreshment. The more we receive it from God, the more we can give it away. Either given or received, here are SIX Thank-FULL Refreshments that bring pleasure to any God-given Dream Team.
We are the number one representative of our God-given dream. For this reason, we must set the standard for the air quality in our environment. Publicly praising God actively shows others our priorities and encourages others to do the same. Whether in ministry, business, or in our daily spaces giving thanks to God refreshes the atmosphere around us and encourages others.
Prayer is a power-packed way to refresh a Dream Team. When we pray over our God-given dream and its Dream Team, everyone can breathe easier. I make a commitment to not get involved or lead a team that I do not have the time to pray over. Prayer helps us stay focused and remember the commitment that we make to God and the people we serve.
"I thank God upon every remembrance of you."
~ Phil. 1:3 NKJV
Quality time refreshes, so we should do ourselves a favor and spend it. Time is especially valuable to our families. Planned date nights with your spouse or loved ones is a great way to schedule time to refresh yourself and others. Even if finances are tight you can still spend quality time together. I remember when my husband and I were first married - we would pack peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches and ride around neighborhoods dreaming together of our future home and plans. No matter how productive your schedule -look for opportunities to spend time with those who are the most important to you.
4. A Simple Thank You
Giving someone thanks does not have to be a big production. Writing a "thank you" note and either giving it or mailing it to a Dream Team member can refresh a person's day, week, or year. Keeping a notepad on our desks and in our briefcases, purses, and vehicles will help create an easy way for us to write to someone the moment their name crosses our hearts. Sometimes, when we hesitate because we think we should do something bigger and better than writing a simple "thank you" note, we miss an opportunity to refresh.
