bENCOURAGEd to: Not Know But Still Go

Tuesday's Tip to bENCOURAGEd...

God really knows what He is doing, even if I do not have a clue. For years, in the business world, I got paid to plan and execute a plan that needed to yield very profitable results. These plans were thought out from beginning to end...and every place in that productivity was maxed and details did not fall through the cracks. Even when I did more consultation type work I still dived into the comfort of my client's time lines, which allowed me to stay months to years in the know of organizational development. The plans of the righteous are just, (Prov. 12:5 NIV), but (honestly my flesh does not like this one bit, I am literally making this statement based on the substance of the statement itself, it hurts but it is true)...

faith requires more than always knowing the plan.

God is not one of my old clients - He does reserve the right to not share His plan in details. When I first left my career I was so excited for God leading me in a new direction, but I really wanted to see the completed puzzle of this plan He had called for me to begin. I was thanking God for making my dreams come true, and at the same time begging Him to lay out the journey in Power Point, project design software, or even a timeline written in sand, just something so I would be in the know. Through my prayer life, God kept reminding me that, "...without faith, it is impossible to to please Him...,", (Heb. 11:6 KJV). I believe that God enjoyed my thanks giving prayers, but He was really waiting for me to show Him my thankfulness through faith.

What do we do when the plan that we are working is not working out the way that we planned?

Let me encourage you with this phrase...
