Past victories should never be just monuments, but should be great motivators. While a monument can captivate our attention a motivator inspires us to action. Moving forward helps us fulfill the plans God has for us. When we notice that we are not progressing in an area it is time to reflect on past victories. Then we can study those monuments in light of how they can become our “now” motivators.
Reapplication will help us arrive at our next destination.
Turning past memories from monuments to motivators spurs us to reapplication. When we reapply how we arrived at a place worthy of building a monument we become motivated towards our next destination.
In my book FLIGHT I refer to this as a FLIGHT Pattern. FLIGHT is an acronym for six abilities we must develop in order to get a God-given dream off of the ground. bENCOURAGEd to view your past monuments so they can be your “now” motivators!
