Nobody Takes My Hope!

Recently, these words rung in my ears when I heard our youth pastor share a message about being a Prisoner of Hope. These four words reminded me that no matter what, do not give your hope away. As I think on these thoughts; I am refreshed in a place - a place called hope.

“Return to the stronghold, You prisoners of hope. Even today I declare That I will restore double to you.” ~Zec. 9:12 NKJV

It is interesting that the definition of a stronghold is a place. Some of my favorite passages in the Bible are from Psalms 91. These Scriptures declare protection - a fortress around us - in troubled times. But where does this fort dwell? - In the “secret place of the Most High” (Ps. 91:1). It is secret to those who allow God to whisper it into their hearts. A still small voice from a quiet place. Getting quiet with God helps us fortify - build up a wall of hope that can not be easily torn down.

bENCOURAGEd Today...

There is freedom knowing that your hope is not up for grabs, because the bars of that prison are held in place from the inside.
